If you're a night owl, and you can handle subzero temperatures, you may be eligible to apply for the world's coolest job.
Finland's Arctic Snow Hotel is looking for a Northern Lights spotter.
The seasonal accommodation is carved out of ice and snow every winter, hosting up to 70 guestswho cuddle up in sleeping bags and reindeer furs to keep out the chill. Based in Rovaniemi, it offers activities such as dog mushing, ice fishing and snow sculpting, amid a luxury setting that includes hot tubs and fine dining.

No experience is necessary for the seasonal role, which was advertised on Facebook. However, you will be expected to be wide awake from 11pm to 6:30am, alerting guests when the sky begins to glimmer.

The phenomenon, also known as the aurora borealis, occurs when electrically-charged particles from the sun collide with the Earth's atmosphere, emitting light. It's usually green, although stronger colours such as red and purple have been known to occur, and it's most commonly seen in Scandinavia, Russia, Canada and Alaska.

The job doesn't include accommodation, but the hotel says successful applicants might be able to negotiate additional perks. And, while salary depends on experience, you might be able to pick up some extra work such as guiding tour groups or cooking.
Applications close on September 11, and successful applicants will head north in December for anywhere between three and six months.
