It's not a magazine and it's not a brochure. It's a brochurzine - a glossy smart enough for the coffee table - and it covers just about everything you need to know about holidaying in the Cook Islands.
Cooks Vacation Planner 2001 is hot on the heels of the first brochurzine edition, on Fiji. A third publication, covering Queensland, is due out this month.
"More and more people want to know about their actual destination - what is available in the way of activities, places to eat, and facilities for their children," says Marilyn Tregidga, of Aspac in Auckland. "We're trying to cover all those things in the brochurzine - things like transport available, restaurants, day trips and tours, and entertainment like adventure parks and children's clubs.
