The National Agricultural Fieldays event, New Zealand's biggest agricultural trade show, is less than two months away and exhibitors and visitors are already securing their beds.
The Fieldays run from June 12 to 15 at the Mystery Creek Events Centre, a few minutes' drive from Hamilton's airport, and usually attract more than 115,000 visitors.
Aside from around 1000 trade displays of anything and everything agricultural and horticultural, visitors are kept amused with attractions such as a fashion show of clothes made from farm products, art and fencing competitions, tractor trials and sheep dog trials, and culinary delights.
Adults pay $12, children up to 14 pay $6. Entry is free for pre-schoolers.
