The longest-ever peace message - made from cards in the shape of peace doves - will be put together in Rotorua, amid family picnics and free entertainment, from dancing to singing.
Around 30,000 of the red, blue or yellow doves each have a name and a message of peace written on them - some from overseas - to commemorate World Peace Day.
Arranged by Soka Gakkai International of New Zealand in conjunction with the Rotorua District Council, the free event is at Rotorua's Centennial Park off Mokoia Drive from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday, November 17.
