Waiheke Island is home to several boutique wineries that produce high-quality wines, many of which are produced in limited quantities and can be bought only on Waiheke or in selected restaurants around the world.

The island's wine tour operators provide a variety of tours which differ in length, inclusions and number of wineries visited, while car, scooter or bike rentals are available for those who prefer to explore on their own.
