A colony of robots - some predators, the others their prey - went on permanent display at Yorkshire's new Magna Science Adventure Centre this week.
The brainchild of robotics expert Professor Noel Sharkey, the robots are part of research on co-evolving predators and prey. It is hoped the robots will eventually develop behaviours that mimic the natural world - such as pack-hunting and herding.
Magna opened last year as Britain's first science adventure centre, offering interactive games for the young and pavilions themed on earth, air, fire and water.
Admission is £6.99 ($23) for adults and £4.99 ($16.50) for children.
