You won't need your opera glasses to see Dame Malvina Major or Brian Law at some of Europe's special operatic events this August. They could be sitting right next to you.
Once their season of performing in the Tales of Hoffman with Canterbury Opera is over, Dame Malvina and Brian Law will host a tour to Europe for music lovers.
Highlights include a visit to the Salzburg Festival, Austria's Arlberg region for the Bregenz Festival and the open-air floating stage on Lake Constance, and into Italy for the Puccini Festival.
The tour leaves New Zealand on August 1 and returns on August 20, and has been planned to give a balanced programme of music, art, architecture and landscape. In takes in four festivals, eight performances, two countries and a number of towns, cities and villages.
The cost is $14,999 a person, share twin, and an extra $1879 for a single supplement.
