The latest tour programme for Europe from Peregrine, the Australian adventure travel company, features 35 itineraries spanning a broad range of activities, including day walks and cycling trips - as well as several more challenging treks.
There are both group holidays and adventures for independent travellers with regular departures from April to October.
One challenging trek is a classic circuit of Mont Blanc, starting in Chamonix and enjoying the comfort of small hotels and pensions. It is a two-week trip with 10 days of walking, priced from $3090 each, twin share.
