Reconciliation through tourism could be one reward from a series of four tours to Aboriginal Australia arranged by Community Aid Abroad Tours.
Travellers hear Dreamtime stories about the indigenous people's history, land, culture and hopes for the future, and share their lifestyle and food.
The tours are:
Central Australia until July 9. Workshops in Alice Springs, then to Uluru, Katatjuta and other sacred sites, with the Pitjantjatjara people.
Lake Eyre, from August 27-September 2, September 3-9, 17-24, 24-30 and October 8-14 and 15-21. With Arabunna guides to the Flinders Ranges, Marree, the Oodnadatta Track to the Lake Eyre Basin and Finniss Springs Mission.
Broome and Dampier Peninsula, from June 24-July 3. Broome, then with the Bardi people to the Dampier Peninsula and Buccaneer archipelago.
The Kimberley, from July 10-16. To the northwest Kimberly with Ngarinyin men and women, includes ancient art galleries and bush-turkey hunts.
