Some of Britain's most dramatic 19th-century paintings - telling stories of love, love lost and death - make up a major touring exhibition that will be at the Auckland Art Gallery until late November.
Love and Death: Art in the Age of Queen Victoria is open daily from Saturday.
Admission to the gallery is free, but admission to this special exhibition costs $12 for adults, $9 for concessions.
