September 10-11, Oxford, England
Oxford Open Doors celebrates the city's architecture and culture by allowing free access to interesting properties which are not usually open, or which charge admission.
As well as highlighting superb architectural heritage, the Oxford event features an exciting support programme.
This year the theme is sporting history, and visitors can discover amazing achievements and fascinating facts about local sporting heroes through displays at the Bodleian Library, Oxford City Football Club or the Roger Bannister Running Track, along with special trails at the Ashmolean Museum.
There'll be fencing and gymnastics displays, or you can try sculling, or bridge, or simply join a guided tour or walk.
