La Fête dé Noué, or Christmas Festival, is held annually on Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands.
It begins with a dazzling parade through St Helier, Jersey's capital, and the island's beautiful Christmas lights are switched on afterwards.
The Spirit of Christmas Market is launched with a fireworks display and throughout the festival the market sells food and drink, as well as gifts and decorations made by local craftspeople.
Other Fete de Noue events include an Ale Trail, a town tour, a rural ramble and a free Christmas Film Festival.
