Whether you like oysters or not, the annual Oyster Festival is a great time to visit the city of Galway on the west coast of Ireland.
The event includes the prestigious National Oyster Opening Championships where Irish oyster shuckers from compete to open as many of the succulent bivalves as possible.
That's a forerunner to the World Oyster Opener Championship, which features oyster openers from around the globe.
It's part of an afternoon featuring oyster tasting, a best-dressed lady competition and live music.
