The annual BaliSpirit Festival is held in the attractive inland town of Ubud, a haven for artists and craftspeople.
The inspirational festival offers more than 100 yoga, dance and music workshops from acclaimed international instructors, as well as a nightly line-up of world music from top-class performers.
The workshops are held in the expansive riverside grounds of the Purnati Center for the Arts, while the evening concerts take place on a stage surrounded by ancient trees at the atmospheric Agung Rai Museum of Art.
The festival supports many community initiatives, including a reforestation project on the degraded slopes of Mt Abang and Mt Agung.
