Dining, dancing and tractors in Gore

Gore has three major events scheduled for the first three weekends of February.

The whole family will enjoy the celebration of 100 Years of Tractors in New Zealand at the Gore Showgrounds, February 6 to 8. As well as old and new tractors, there'll be steam engines, vintage cars, a fairground, food, and arts and craft stalls.

February 14 and 15 is the Hokonui Country Music Festival, which promises a full-on weekend of country music at Dolamore Park.

Lovers of southern cuisine, wine and whisky should be at the Gore Heritage Precinct on Saturday, February 21, for the Hokonui Moonshiners' Festival, an event based on the legend of "Hokonui Moonshine".
