Bastion Pt above Auckland's Tamaki Drive is to become a hub of traditional Maori performing arts for four days.
Opening on Thursday, Kapa Haka 2002 will host New Zealand's best groups performing haka, waiata, poi, mau, rakau and wero. More than 35 kapa haka (dance troupes) will compete.
A day pass costs $20 for adults, $18 for students and $10 for children. Family passes (two adults, two children) cost $50.
