Cruise-liner bonanza for Bay of Plenty

Ships will be more than just passing in the night in Tauranga over the next six months.

From now until May next year, almost 40 cruise liners are scheduled to dock at the sheltered Port of Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty, bringing with them the tourists who spend around $7.5 million locally each year on retail therapy, dining and on-land travel.
