Coup for Queenstown's Millbrook resort

Queenstown's Millbrook resort is glowing at being the centrepiece of the course for the world triathalon championships in 2003.

Top New Zealand triathletes Hamish Carter and Jenny Rose have helped design the course. The transition from cycle to run will take place in the resort grounds and the 10km run will be held solely within the resort.

The coup for Queenstown and Millbrook in winning a two-year bid to host the championship should generate considerable exposure for Queenstown.

The championships will be held at Millbrook, Arrowtown and Lake Hayes in December 2003.
