Coromandel celebrates red

Coromandel's Pohutukawa Festival runs Nov 25-Dec 11, celebrating the summer flower that enhances Coromandel's coastal beauty.

More than 50 activities are planned, including music, comedy, cafe crawls, art exhibitions, and a food and wine festival.

For a swift ride, jump aboard the Kawau Kat ferry. Events are held throughout the peninsula, and bus and shuttle transport from the ferry is available.
