Don't expect to smell toast grilling when you wake up at Cornucopia Lodge. That's not the Dutch way of eating bread, and Cornucopia in the Esk Valley near Napier is very European.
Dutchmen Kees Peters and Joss Lamers delight in preparing breakfast Dutch-style, serving European breads, cheese and thinly sliced meats, boiled eggs - hatched by their own chickens - and juices from fruit grown on the lodge property.
Cornucopia Lodge is boutique accommodation on a 1.2ha block, with expansive views over the neighbouring Linden Estate Winery.
