Like the residents of Anaheim who have Disneyland on their doorstep, there are probably hundreds of Aucklanders who have never ventured to New Zealand's largest theme park since it opened nearly 20 years ago.
Rainbows End has classic favourites such as bumper boats and dodgems, and a double corkscrew roller coaster. The park also features a log flume ride through a waterfall and mountain, and Goldrush, in which visitors dodge falling beams, explosions and hurtling gold-mine carts. There are plenty of activities and rides for small children.
Open daily from 10 am to 5 pm, entry tickets range from unlimited ride passes to family passes.
