Wonderful, wacky or just plain weird, collections of all sorts go on show at the Otago Settlers Museum in Dunedin this month. Coathangers, spoons, cereal box cards, toy fire engines and pencil sharpeners are just some of the collections hunted down by the curators. Note: local collectors are more mainstream than their overseas counterparts, who were found to have collections ranging from air sick bags to toilet paper; barbed wire to ATM receipts.
To see what has been unearthed from the Otago region, visit Collectomania from November 10 to February 10 next year.
