Chug along into day of literature

A day-long travel adventure of the escapist, nostalgic kind is in store when the Well Expressed Going West steam train chugs out of Auckland Central.

This all happens at 9am on Sunday, September 21.

The heritage stations along the western line become the settings for performances and readings from New Zealand writers and entertainers.

Fine food and wine add to the relaxing mix of location, locomotion and literature. Cost is $160, which covers travel, food, wine and entertainment. Bookings through Waitakere City Council.
