Passengers crossing Cook Strait should check out the new Extreme Saver fares from InterCity Coachlines.
The fares between Picton and Christchurch start at $10, and can be linked with a similar fare between Picton and Nelson. The fares are available until October 31 and need to be booked in advance.
Super Saver ($24) and Saver ($35) fares are also available. All services use spacious, modern air-conditioned coaches.
