Cathedral concerts in Wellington

Visiting historic churches doesn't have to be a time for reverential silence.

The Cathedral of St Paul in Wellington is throwing open its doors every Friday to entertain visitors and workers on their lunch breaks with free concerts.

Every Friday until July 1, 45-minute recitals will be given inside the cathedral featuring the organ, small choirs and ensembles.

The cathedral is on the corner of Hill St and Molesworth St, in Thorndon.
