Hosted by Te Radar at Auckland's Heritage Hotel, this year's Cathay Pacific Travel Media Awards celebrated the best and brightest travel writers and photographers in New Zealand.
The Herald was proud to sponsor the award for the Best Unpublished Travel Image.
Top prize went to Giora Dan for his photograph of the pre-dawn floating market on Lake Dal in Kashmir, India. He also received a runner-up prize.
Another runner-up was Lynn Clayton, for her Alaskan hotel full of taxidermy animals.
