Carve up wood in Takapuna

The reserve around the Lake House Arts Centre in Takapuna will ring with the sound of axes, saws and electric tools during the Wood Sculpture Live exhibition.

From April 16-24 sculptors and woodcarvers will create intricate pieces from logs supplied by the Arts Centre. The exhibition opening, prizegiving and sale of new work is at 3pm on April 24, and the sculptures will remain on display until May 14. An exhibition of previous work runs April 18-24 in Fred Thomas Drive.
