Carrot town capers

Ohakune will be rocking on Saturday August 2 when the Carrot Carnival and Mardi Gras bring the place alive.

The town centre is closed during the day and there are stalls, sideshows and other entertainment, as well as a grand parade.

The Mardi Gras starts at 6pm and promises to be the biggest street party seen in the apres-ski capital of the North Island.
