Carnival at Paihia

Paihia, in the Bay of Islands, will take on a carnival atmosphere next month.

The Paihia Family Fun Festival begins on January 9, with eight days of events ranging from sandcastle-making competitions, creating a giant mural, a fun sports challenge and a mini-golf championship to a children's fishing competition, pavement drawing, kite flying, guided historic walks and story telling.
