Cathay Pacific Airways carried a record 11.9 million passengers in 2000.

This record was helped by a particularly busy month in December with more than one million passengers travelling.

In 1999, the airline carried 10.5 million. For 2000, the airline carried 769,075 tonnes of cargo, also a record.
