Camp it up in Africa

If getting up in the morning not knowing where you might camp that night sounds like the perfect "free-spirit" holiday, then African Trails Overland Expeditions will suit you down to the ground.

The safaris last from three to 11 weeks. Half the accommodation is in "free camping" style on beaches, mountainsides and plains, beside rivers and waterfalls or in small towns. The tents are two-person models with sewn-in ground-sheets, mosquito netting and fly-sheets, and travel is in roomy safari trucks with lockers, wide aisles and coach seats.

Safari members take turns to cook over open camp fires.
