United Airlines says its reorganisation in the United States will not affect its operations in New Zealand.
The airline has filed to reorganise under Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code - a section of law that enables companies to continue normal business operations while undergoing restructuring.
The company says its customer programmes and services such as Mileage Plus, Red Carpet Clubs, First Class lounges and Arrivals by United facilities are unaffected. It says its flights will continue, and tickets will be honoured.
United's membership in Star Alliance and other code-share agreements remains in effect.
United Airlines in New Zealand offers daily flights from Auckland to Los Angeles.
