The Great British Fish and Chips Feast happens this month. As well as the feast on the 24th and 25th at the seaside resorts of Morecambe and Heysham in Lancashire, visitors can listen to songs and stories of the fishing heritage and watch traditional seaside entertainment.
Ghostly pipers, hauntings and hangings, grey ladies and haunted prison cells are on the itinerary of Ghost Walks, a tour through Durham City, in northern England on Monday evenings during July, August and September.
