Boules on the beach

Daylight saving hours might be over, but a French-style afternoon rolls into the early evening on Auckland's North Shore this Sunday.

Piaf & Petanque is an afternoon of things-French, from music by French Toast to French wine and food, a Citroen car display and petanque.

The free event begins at noon at the Browns Bay Petanque terrain in Beachfront Lane. Pack a picnic and take your boules if you have them.
