Belgian biologist Gerald Broddelez will lead an expedition for the MS Bremen's bird-watching cruise in December, a 22-night voyage which cruises from Hobart to Port Bluff.
Broddelez has visited more than 50 countries over 17 years, and specialises in working with sea mammals and coastal birds.
Leaving Tasmania on December 20, ports of call include the Bay of Islands, the Chatham Islands, Bounty Island, Antipoden and Snares Island. Highlights include visiting penguin colonies, the biggest seabird colonies in the world, rare seabirds and animals and volcanic activity. The Bremen accommodates 160 passengers, and offers a library, swimming pool, gym and sauna.
