A new law is on the cards for Queensland, aimed at preventing shonky tour operators from exploiting tourists.
The proposed Tourism Services Bill is designed to regulate the conduct of inbound tour operators in Queensland and to ensure they adhere to a code of conduct.
If the bill is passed, the code would prevent disreputable companies from inflating prices on products such as tourism attractions and restaurant menus for tour groups.
