You may never have heard of JetBlue Airways, but it's making a concerted effort to break the distance barriers around America. Based in New York, Airways is making Long Beach Airport in California its second home, and will begin two daily round-trip flights between Long Beach and JFK Airport in New York on August 29.
The fares between New York and Los Angeles will range from $US129 ($302) one way, which is up to 73 per cent less than equivalent fares on the market, JetBlue says.
