"I didn't expect the Brew Yoga concept to really work in Thailand at first, but everyone gets it. They see it as a new community that combines party with being healthy," said Nipaporn.
Brew Yoga owes its origin to the BierYoga event that began in Berlin in 2015. Yoga instructors Emily and Jhula combined beer and yoga - two things they love - together in an effort to unwind and reach a new level of consciousness.
"Yoga practice is striving for unity. Your mind with the yoga mat, for example," Nipaporn explained. "The same is true for the union of two: beer and yoga."
A Brew Yoga ticket costs 650 baht ($27) and it comes with a bottle of imported lager.
Ultimately, Nipaporn said the event provided a chance for everyone to let their guards down and have fun.
"The beer reduces barriers between people. The yoga postures were not too physically-demanding. They were basic stretching designed to work well with a partner."
The Saturday yoga session was very relaxed and fun, according to an EPA journalist who observed the class at Wishbeer Home Bar near Bangkok's central Sukhumvit road.
Since 2015, the BierYoga event has spread to several major cities such as Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland and Singapore.
Nipaporn revealed that there have been requests for private Brew Yoga sessions. However, her focus remains on having fun and maintaining safety.
"We focus on safety first. Everyone was given only a 250ml bottle of beer for a session."
"Everyone was perfectly fine at the end of the class but they may be a bit dizzy," she said.
