A baggage handler in Thailand has been caught on camera pilfering through a Jetstar passenger's check-in luggage as part of an airport sting operation.
CCTV cameras at Phuket International Airport captured the 27-year-old man helping himself to the contents of the suitcase on a Jetstar flight bound for Singapore.
The man - an employee of third-party baggage handling company BAGS - was arrested and charged by Airports of Thailand and Tourism police and a bluetooth speaker was recovered, the Phuket Gazette reports.
A Jetstar spokesman told news.com.au it has launched an investigation into the incident.
"Jetstar is aware of a video circulating online and we are taking the matter very seriously," the statement read.
"We have launched an immediate investigation and will work with Airports of Thailand, our ground handler BAGS and our local security company to ensure the security of our customers' property on-board our flights."
