Australians love to mark their towns with enormous novelty items even more than the good people of Ohakune love a giant carrot. There are an estimated 150 giant objects scattered throughout Australia, from the Big Scotsman in Medindie, Adelaide, to the Big Poo in Kiama, NSW.
Now, the Big Bogan joins the list, standing proudly at 3.6m high with his mullet, stubbies and thongs, in the NSW town of Nyngan. He won't feel lonely. The Big Stubby
In the town of Larrimah, in the Northern Territory, a giant replica of a stubby beer bottle greets visitors. Down in Tewantin, in Queensland, they went one better - their giant stubby was made out of actual stubbies. It's since been removed.
