CheeseFest - Australia's biggest cheese festival - hits Adelaide on October 26 and 27 at the picturesque Rymill Park.
"If you want it stinky, or smelly, or mild, or bitey, or hard ... you will find it all," says festival organiser Kris Lloyd. The annual speciality cheese gourmet festival began in 2005 with 900 visitors. Last year it drew a crowd of 10,000.
This year's festival will have 60 stalls. Those taking part will include cheese makers from around Australia, winemakers and restaurants - particularly those favouring local ingredients. All the cheese makers will give a free talk and be on hand to answer questions.
"They may talk about the way they make their cheese or anything new they have got on the horizon - whatever they want to discuss," says Lloyd.
They will present cheeses made from cow, goat, sheep and buffalo milk.
