Art of the Manawatu in forgotten hamlet

Mangaore, a tiny village southwest of Palmerston North, is welcoming visitors to its first-ever art exhibition.

The forgotten hamlet used to belong to Mangahao Power Station but now an eclectic group of residents live there. Among them are five artists who have launched an exhibition in the village hall, which runs until Friday.
