An exhibition in the Japanese capital is reinventing traditional aquariums of the Edo period (1603-1868) using lights, music and some 8000 goldfish - the quintessential Japanese pet.
Japanese artist Hidetomo Kimura, an aquarium specialist, is celebrating the tenth anniversary of the show, which has already had six million visitors in Japan, and will be open until July 25.
The exhibition, displaying fish of an array of sizes and colours, is also a tribute to the animal, which was brought to Japan from China in 1502 and has become one of the most popular pets in the country.
