All aboard for a trip through Waitakere bush

Cross the tracks to a bygone era in the lush, native bush of West Auckland, courtesy of the Waitakere Tramline Society. The society's narrow gauge tramway is a Sundays-only adventure that travels through tunnels and bush to the Waitakere Dam.

Departures are at 10am, 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm every Sunday. An adult fare is $8; school-age children $4 and pre-schoolers ride free. Bookings are essential as passenger numbers are limited to 20.
