Air New Zealand is responding to increased seasonal demand on its Auckland-Honolulu route by adding an additional weekly flight between October and March.
In addition, the airline says it will upgrade the aircraft operating the route's two existing weekly services to a larger Boeing 777-200 between June 9 and September 1.
Air New Zealand's 'Seats to Suit' fare structure, which is currently available on Tasman and Pacific Island flights, will be also introduced for flights to Hawaii for travel from July 24.
The airline's Group General Manager, Bruce Parton, said Hawaii had long been a popular destination for New Zealanders and the additional capacity and more flexible fare structure would make it an even more affordable and accessible option.
