Adventure in South America with a couple of media stars

Bill Ralston and Janet Wilson decided, as an old married couple, that they needed to break free and do something wildly different for January 2001.

Ralston, editor of Metro magazine and host of TV One's Backchat programme, and Janet, former 60 Minutes correspondent and the new host of TV3's Target programme, are leading a 17-day expedition through the Caribbean and up the Amazon river, promoted by Budget Travel in Onehunga.

"This is my idea of adventure travel," says Ralston - luxury accommodation, the best of food and wine, and absolute comfort and security while seeing a slice of South America.
