A whale of a time in Kaikoura

Whale-watching at the coastal settlement of Kaikoura is considered one of the most memorable and special activities in the South Island.

A full-day bus tour leaves from Christchurch's Copthorne Central Hotel at 7.30 am and takes visitors to a purpose-built whale-watching vessel in Kaikoura where they can see, film and photograph the whales in their natural environment.

The bus returns to Christchurch at 6.15 pm. The cost is $207 adults and $155.25 for children.
