An exhibition with a serious message opens tomorrow in Wellington, co-sponsored by the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with Wellington and Auckland.
Give Peace a Chance - The Hiroshima-Nagasaki A-Bomb Exhibition remembers and reconciles the past with making the future a peaceful one - and aims to promote the abolition of nuclear weapons.
Visitors can view a collection of photographs, artefacts, video presentations and survivors' talks that recap the events of the 1945 atomic bombings.
The 12-day exhibition opens daily from 9am to 5pm in the Michael Fowler Centre's Fletcher Challenge foyer.
