V8 Supercars: New car tipped to add thrill on track
Formula One has the Monaco Grand Prix, sportscar racing has its Le Mans 24 Hour and IndyCar has its Indianapolis 500 - as far as saloon car racing goes, it's the Bathurst 1000 that everyone wants to win.

Those who thought Ferrari's stunning F12 Berlinetta was a bit tame will be glad to see that tuners Novitec Rosso have taken the most powerful roadcar ever and given it more grunt and even wilder looks. The body grows to 2049mm wide, up from 1943mm, while the 6.3-litre V12 gets bumped up from 543kW to a monstrous 582kW. Top speed grows to a claimed 349km/h. The N-Largo upgrade includes extra cooling ducts tucked into the fender flares, new guards and sills and a savage front blade. The kit is all carbon fibre save the new ECU, high-flow exhaust and 21 and 22in forged three-piece rims front and rear respectively.

First test run for Auckland's new train
Auckland's first new electric train is taken on its maiden test run outside Wiri Depot to Puhinui station on 4th October, 2013.
