Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane writes, directs and stars as a cowardly sheep herder turned gunslinger in this old West comedy. Co-starring Charlize Theron, Amanda Seyfried, Giovanni Ribisi, Neil Patrick Harris and Liam Neeson. After Albert (McFarlane) backs out of a gunfight, his fickle girlfriend leaves him for another man. When a mysterious and beautiful woman rides into town, her love helps Albert find his courage. Soon though, her husband - a notorious outlaw - arrives seeking revenge and Albert must put his newfound balls on the line. Due in cinemas on May 29.

Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey and Christoph Waltz star in the follow-up to the 2011 Muppets film. While on a grand world tour, the Muppets find themselves wrapped up in a European jewel-heist caper headed by a Kermit lookalike and his dastardly sidekick. Director James Bobin returns, as does music supervisor Bret McKenzie - Kiwi Oscar-winner for The Muppets and one half of Flight of the Conchords. Due in cinemas on April 10.

Russell Crowe is Noah in this biblical epic from filmmaker Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream). Having visions foretelling the end of the world, Noah warns his people to stop the mistreatment of earth. His warnings go ignored, and Noah and his family are cast out and forced to fend for themselves in the face of an apocalyptic flood. Co-stars Emma Watson, Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Hopkins. Due in cinemas on March 27.

Also returning from Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) are Samuel L. Jackson, Toby Jones and Hayley Atwell. Joining the cast is Robert Redford, playing SHIELD agent Alexander Pierce. Singer-songwriter Lorde was swamped by fans and media when she arrived home to Auckland this morning after a whirlwind week in Los Angeles which saw her become a global superstar. The 17-year-old took the time to meet adoring fans, sign autographs, pose for photographs and talk to the media, despite being "very tired" after a long flight.
